Rush custom tees: what is actually possible
You searched for rush shirts near you and found a shop in Yerington, Nevada that ships to every state. Here is the honest version: our standard turnaround is 28 days from proof approval, rush is quoted per job, and whether we can say yes depends on a few things we can check in a day. Battle Born Clothing does not promise same-day or next-day. We promise a straight answer.
What the 28 days covers
Blank ordering from SanMar (Reno warehouse first, usually next business day for us), screen or stitch-file setup, the digital proof round, production on the press or the embroidery heads, curing, folding and packing. Many jobs finish well inside 28 days. We quote 28 so that the date we give you holds, and so a rush is a real commitment rather than a word on a website.
What makes a rush realistic
- Blanks in stock. A PC61 in black or white almost always is. A specific color in 4XL may not be. We check the day you ask.
- Simple decoration. One-color screen print or a left-chest embroidery with existing art. Three colors front and back is a different conversation.
- Approved art, fast. The clock starts at proof approval. A proof that sits for four days eats the rush.
- Press time. We have one shop. If the schedule is full, we say so.
How we price it
Rush is quoted per job. We do not publish a flat rush percentage because a 48-shirt one-color job and a 300-shirt three-color job are not the same ask. Send the date, the art and the count and we quote the shirts at the published rate with the rush shown as its own line, usually the same business day. If we cannot make the date, we say so instead of taking the order.
Realistic timelines by situation
| Situation | Realistic? | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Shirts in 4 weeks | Yes, standard | 28 days from proof approval, no rush line |
| Shirts in 2-3 weeks, 1-color, 48 pcs | Usually | Rush quoted per job; approve the proof same day |
| Shirts in 7-10 days, 1-color or DTF | Sometimes | Depends on press schedule; ask before you promise anyone |
| Shirts in under a week | Rarely | Only small DTF or embroidery jobs with art ready; ask |
| Same day or next day | No | We will not promise it |
Then add UPS Ground transit: typically 1 to 2 business days to Nevada, California and Oregon, 2 to 3 to Washington, Idaho, Utah and Arizona, 3 to 4 to the Rockies, 4 to 5 to Texas and the Plains, and about 5 to the Midwest, South and East Coast. Nevada buyers can remove the transit by picking up in Yerington by appointment.
How to not need a rush
- Count back from the event date: 28 days of production, 2 days of transit, a week of proof margin. Start five to six weeks out.
- Send vector art or a clean PNG with the first message. Art cleanup is the most common delay.
- Pick a stock color on a stock style. Black, white, navy and heather on a PC61 or PC54 are safe.
- Approve the proof the day it arrives. Have one person authorized to approve.
- Order a few extra in common sizes so a late sign-up does not trigger a second run.
What a rush does not change
The proof still comes first. The free reprint on our errors still applies. The price per shirt is still the published one; the rush is its own line. And we still tell you no if the date is not real.
Questions
Do you offer same-day shirts?
No. We have one shop in Yerington, NV and we do not promise same-day or next-day work.
What is the fastest realistic turnaround?
For a small one-color or DTF job with art ready and blanks in stock, sometimes 7 to 10 days plus transit. Quoted per job after we check the schedule.
Does a rush cost more?
Usually, as its own line on the quote. The per-shirt price stays at the published rate.
